Police in Lagos has arrested and detained 21-year-old Ifeoma Okechukwu from Imo State for killing an unidentified man who attempted raping her. The incident happened on Monday, around 12.30 pm, in Atlantic view Estate, Alpha Beach Road, Lekki.  Ifeoma, according to what we gathered, was on her menstrual period and had gone out to buy sanitary pads but on her way back home, she was accosted by this stranger.

Hmm! Mechanic allegedly abducts, rapes 13-yr-old girl for 5 days!!!

A 28-year-old mechanic identified as Abdulkadir Salihu has been remanded in prison custody by a magistrate court order for allegedly abducting and rapping a teenage girl for five days!  Mrs. Joyce Abdulmark of Lokoja Senior Magistrate Court 1 gave the ruling yesterday on the arraignment of the accused.  He was arraigned on a two-count charge of kidnapping and rape, which are offences contrary to Sections 273 and 283 of the penal code.

Pray for Omonigho Abraham, the boy attacked by two dogs as his health worsens!!!

This is a call for a serious prayer. If you have had compassion for the little four-year –old Abraham after reading his stories online, please, he urgently needs your prayer. Right now, according to reports we have gathered, his condition has worsened in the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja where he is currently receiving treatment. For those who have not read his story… Little Abraham pictured below was attacked by two ferocious Germane dogs at his home in Igando Lagos on September 25th. The heart-breaking part of the incident was that 7 policemen and some sympathizers stayed aloof watching the dogs eat the boy’s scrap for fear of being attacked as well. Thank God for his mother who arrived the scene, fought the dogs and snatch away his son from their scavenging jaws. In our last update, we had brought you a report on an ongoing debate which was centered on whether the dogs should be killed or released to the owner.  As at that time, the police in custody of the two German dogs, says that  they were waiting for Court order before they can euthanize the dogs and Odia, Abraham’s father has complained that the police has been harassing him to order for the release of the dogs to the owner.

32-year-old man commits suicide over N1, 000 theft!!!

Ebonyi guys, your guy is in the news this morning and sadly, the guy in question jumped into a pond and died after being tortured and fined by some irate villagers over a theft of N1, 000. Vanguard reports:  

A 32-year-old man, Mr. Simon Mbam, of Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has committed suicide after he was tortured by some villagers for allegedly stealing N1, 000 from a shop in the market.

“..Then he began to rape me every night…i had never had sex before; it was painful….” ~ Abducted girl on how she was raped and beaten by B’Haram men

The 15-year-old girl who made the above comment and whose name was not mentioned for security reasons was abducted by B’Haram and forcefully married to one of its commanders in a camp in the Sambisa Forest Borno State. According to Human Right Watch which carried the story, the girl escaped after four week in captivity. She was one of the five girls that personally recounted their ordeals in a publication which made public on Monday. Sorry that we were not able to report it then.

44-year-old conductor allegedly crushed to death in Lagos by a LASTMA van

As we gathered, the trouble started for the deceased, Ikechukwu Abasirim, yesterday after the driver of the bus was ordered to stop by LASTMA officials at Mile 2, over an unknown offence. The LASTMA officials were alleged to have chased the vehicle after the drive ignored  the order and on reaching Cele Bus Stop, along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, the commercial vehicle disembarked and unknowing to the deceased, the LASTMA officials were still trailing them while he kept calling passengers. Some LASTMA official were said to have blocked the vehicle while some forced him into their operational vehicle.

Just about 72 hours after writing to Gen. 3 terrorists arrested by police over an attempt to blow up Calabar-Itu Bridge

The security operatives in Akwa Ibom have arrested three(3) suspected terrorists identified as Samuel Coleman Yaw, a Ghanaian resident in Bakassi Local Government Area in Cross River State ; Monday Anthony, an indgene of Ikang Village also in Bakassi Local Government Area and Boronyefa Olorungun, alias General Bofa, over an attempt to blow up Calabar-Itu head bridge, last month.

Abducted girls rumored married off to insurgents, women freed???

In an interview with the villagers of the two border villages between Adamawa and Borno State, attacked by B’Haram sect recently, it was disclosed that they have freed the women among the captives while the girls are still being detained. Vanguard reports:

According to the villagers, the women and girls were abducted from Waga Mangoro which was between Gwoza in Borno and Madagali in Adamawa states.

Boko Haram abducted 60 women in Adamawa???

Reports gathered from punch this morning indicates that the deadly insurgents were alleged to have invades two towns Waga Mangoro and Garta in the troubled Adamawa State and abducted 60 women. 40 were abducted in Waga Mangoro while 20 were forcefully taken away from Grata.

Residents who contacted journalists on phone before fleeing from the area said the insurgents were riding motorcycles and driving van and that they were able to sneak out of the town on Tuesday but disclosed that their village were attacked on Saturday.

Punch reported that a 60-year-old pastor, Mr.Joseph Adebo has been killed by bandits who unleashed terror on residents of Oke Ela area in IIaro, Ogun State. The pastor who was in charge of Pentecostal church situated at Powerline, Oke Ela in IIaro was said to have been shot in the chest and left arm by the robbers.  

A resident of Oke Ela area who pleaded for anonymity said,

Do you still remember the four-year-old boy, Omonigho Abraham who was attacked by two ferocious dogs while 7 policemen and sympathizers stayed aloof for fear of being attacked and did nothing to rescue the boy?  If you do, you will as well recall that when his mother arrived the scene and fought away the dogs and snatched him from their jaws, that it was reported that his scalp was already chopped off by the dogs. The good news is that he is recovering at Burns and Plastic Ward of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja but he said he would not return home until government and police kill the dogs.

20-year-old man rapes 16-month-old baby in Bauchi!!!

According to information gathered for Nigeria Tribune, the police in Bauchi disclosed on Monday of its arrest of a 20-year-old man in Ningi, the headquarters of Ningi Local Government Area for defiling a 16-months-old baby!!!

Nnenna, in a bid to quickly deliver on her parent’s assignment, decided to take a bike to and from the market. She then boarded a motorcycle piloted by 35-year-old Onyekachi Nwankwo, a native of Umunachi Obowo.  Onyekachi had deceived the innocent yound girl by telling her that he intended to pick his friend, Chike Njoku.

“I was never sacked…”Keshi

Keshi has cleared the airs over the report of his sack by NFF which has been circulated everywhere since NFF made the announcement on Friday. According to him, it is inappropriate for anybody to say he was sacked because there was no existing contract. Aminat Akanni a second wife to Moshood Mobu from  Kwara State is in Lagos state police net for allegedly pushing her stepdaughter, Nofisat into a soak-away pit beside a mosque in the orile area.



According to what we gathered from Punch, the victim, Nofisat who is 9-year-old and her 4-year- old brother, lateef, were reported missing to the Adeniji Adele Police Division on Friday, October 3rd by the suspect’s husband. The search for the missing children had taken Mubo and his first wife to travel to Ilorin, Kwara State where they consulted their relatives for ‘spiritual help’ to no avail. But on the 9th October, a friend called them and revealed to them that he had seen Lateef with Akanni around the CSM bus top, Lagos Island. The police were then invited and Akanni was arrested.

A new wife kills husband in Bauchi with hot water!!!

A newly married 18-year-old Aisha Jibrin has been charged to a Chief Magistrate Court 7 in Bauchi for allegedly killing her husband, Ladan with hot water!

According to reports, Aisha has had an abortion without her husband’s knowledge. When the news of the abortion got to her husband, he bullied her to the point that she lost her front teeth to the beatings. Quarrel erupted again between the couple but no one is certain if it was over the issue of abortion or the paternity of the aborted baby but, Aisha was said to have poured hot water on Ladan while he was taking his bath. Ladan died in hospital afterwards.

FG talks with B’haram in Saudi Arabia on ceasefire and release of Chibok girls!

Reports carried by the Voice of America, VOA, indicate that the Federal government is currently negotiating the release of the chibok girls who were abducted in Bornu State 6 months ago. They were also said to be talking on outright ceasefire by the insurgents.

23-year-old-man reveals how he stole millions with ATM cards!!! (Not Pictured)

Weize, 23, from Vandeikyia in Benue State, has revealed how he has stolen millions of naira from people by swapping the ATM cards of his victims with invalid cards with which he used in withdrawing large sums of money from their account.

Weize according to what we gathered from Vanguard, is in possession of over sixty (60) ATM cards and was introduced into the nefarious business by a friend from Ondo State whom he met at Abuja. He came into Calabar, the Cross River Sate Capital two weeks ago and was caught over the weekend while trying to swap his card with that of another person in the premises of one of the new generation banks in Calabar Road.  At the time of his arrest, N258, 000.00 cash was found on him.
