A newly married 18-year-old Aisha Jibrin has been
charged to a Chief Magistrate Court 7 in Bauchi for allegedly killing her
husband, Ladan with hot water!
According to reports, Aisha has had an abortion without
her husband’s knowledge. When the news of the abortion got to her husband, he bullied
her to the point that she lost her front teeth to the beatings. Quarrel erupted
again between the couple but no one is certain if it was over the issue of
abortion or the paternity of the aborted baby but, Aisha was said to have
poured hot water on Ladan while he was taking his bath. Ladan died in hospital
afterwards.
The suspect has been charged with culpable homicide
punishable under Section 224 of the Penal Code. The matter has been adjourned
to Tuesday October 28 for further hearing.
